Sort my inventory by date received

Hi all,

I am very new to SAP and have only had minimal training. If someone could help it would be greatly appreciated. I would like to sort all the current inventory in my location by the date it was received. Goal is to clean out all the older material. I need the list to be by date received and to show the batch # and material. Will then need to export to Excel.

Thank you!

Hi,

If there is no batch management, there is no identification on the stock in system. Inventory without batch in SAP is like filling your fule tank - You can not identify fuel filled from which fuel station is getting consumed and which is left in the tank. However, you may go for assumption of FIFO and generate custom report considering the receipt and issues - there are many threads regarding inventory aging. Also, MCBE report can provide you the last recipt and issue date for the materials which may be used for analysis.

If you have batch managment, you can identify the receipt date from batch master and use it for analysis.

Hi Ali,

You can use Tcode MB5B for stock having selection date option in the selection screen.
