BOM Explosion in Quotations

Hi All

please can you advise ifa BOM explosion in a Sales Quotation is this standard SAP?

Hi,

you can configure the item categories depending business requirement at VOV4 and explode the BOM even in a quote. But yes as in a std sales order we have TAN and TAP and TAQ which is not available in quote.

This is not a SAP standard but you can explode BOM in Quotation also by configuring Item category in VOV4

Hi Thank you for the feedback

but this BOmexplosion is only not working for the new plant we have just created,could this have some bearing on a setting for the new plants perhaps?

Please check the configuration in Menupath:

SPRO> Production planning > Material Requirements Planning > Carry Out Overall Maintenance of Plant Parameters

or T.code: OPPQ

If you have not maintained the plant parameters, please copy the same from any SAP std plant.

If you have already maintained, lcik on MAINTAIN button.

Then go to BOM Explosion button and Check the Sord/WBS option

have you maintained "application " field- SD01, in ur quotation item category details?

if not , maintain-

Please recheck your settings ,

CS01- creation of BoM

confirm abt main /sub item.

how you want to carry out pricing

header level -ERLA-item cat group

item level - LUMF item cat group

For Main item.

for subitems - its NORM only.
