how to modify ESS webdynpro java application

Dear All,

I am new to WDJ and as a part of customer requirement they want to hide a field in the ESS WDJ application for certain conditions. The NWDI is setup and the Basis team has imported the SAP_ESS package and also created a Z SC I can see the SAP_ESS and Z SC under the main track, I dont see any DC under Z SC.

Now how do I modify the standard WDJ application, when I right click the DC under the SAP_ESS SC I dont see any option to create project. How to add the standard WDJ in Z SC for modification?

Any help in this regard is appreciated!

Provided you have not found the (re)solution, when one creates a development configuration track, they have to add a project definition (from the SLD) or a SCA that contains sources. Most probably you have not added teh SAP_ESS as "To be Developed" in the NWDI - CMS.
