Change log in SAP HANA

Hi,

Is there any change log available for application tables in SAP HANA XS? One way to achieve this manually is to create a trigger on the application table and whenever the update happens on the table make an entry into the other table with the datatime, field name , user name , old value and new value .

As the required application table has 20 to 30 columns, its really a huge effort to know which of the columns has been changed. Hence would like to know the better approach here.
