Hi All,

I am tring to run the Check database frm DB13, it is througing the below error, But If I run the same Check database from BRtools at OS level, it is working fine..,

once I completed from the Check database from BRtools at OS level, next time onward.. it is working fine in DB13 also.. for that day.. and for next day.. again failing... in DB13 with the below error.

No need to stop Oracle, but better to stop DB too...it avoids the lib connections issues inbetween SAP application and DB.

issue solved after update

1) Uncar them in one local directory

2) Stop SAP application

3) Take backup of your old SAP Kernel

4) Overwrite your SAP Kernel executables with uncar'd files(in point 1)

Start your SAP application.....same way like SAP Kernel update.

Confused about the real questioner!

Anyways...i am not only talking about SAP Kernel,.....update your DBATOOL KIt as well...

Check latest DBATOOL KIT available in SAP Marketplace and update....

As told by above Techie and according to your update, you are using very old DBATOOL kit.

Just update your SAP Kernel with latest patch aswell as your DBATOOL kit with latest patch.

Hi,

I have recently updated my kernel release 640 with patch level 274.

then after the error is coming .. and i am able to take backup from brtools.

problem is only with db13 .

O/S is windows.

SAP ecc5

with oracle 9i

Looks like its syntax error. What is the variant containing?

Found a similar error in note 976435

In patch 17, the following error message occurs when the BRSPACE function "Export tables" is called using BRTOOLS/BRGUI:

BR0153E Unknown option '-y' found in position 12

To avoid the error, open BRTOOLS/BRGUI menu 93 "BRSPACE options for export tables", and replace the option "-y" with "-I" in the BRSPACE command line (the "command" field).

You can correct this error in BRSPACE 7.00 by importing Patch 18.

First thing I'd do is to update the patch level of your tools.

currently you are using:

BRCONNECT 6.40 (15)

Latest patch is around 50

Hi,

Check the command syntax (for example using option -h) and repeat the processing

also check the parameter in table SDBAC using SE16

the syntax error is happing whe I am trying to run the DB check from the DB13... that is also frist time in the day only, If I run the DB check from BRtools, its working fine..

and also.. once it got finished from BRtools, next time onwords it is working fine in DB13 also.... (for that day only)

agail for next day same proble for the frist time...
