Hello,

We are currently dealing with the following situation.

A restore (no RMAN) needs to be done. The backup was originally saved on a none default external server path. Lets call it like this:

E:\\server2\Backups\

That path is no longer available and the backup is currently located on a local path:

C: \server1\Backups\

After editing back<SID> file, the brtools is able to find the backup. The backup files, however, are still being searched in the original backup destination path while trying to perform the restore.:(E:\server2\Backups\)

How should the brtools be instructed to look for the backup files from their current location?

  • Windows Server 2012
  • Oracle12c

Hi,

Seems we need also change the config files under Backups\<SID>, the same location with back<SID> you edited.

Best regards,
James
