Hi Thanveer,

the steps in CG36 are the following:

1. Path and file name. Select the pdf file from your PC

2. Specification. Select the specification to which you want to link the MSDS

3. Generation variant. Select IBD_MSDS

4. Vendor. Enter the name of the vendor providing the MSDS, i.e. Ciba

5. Upload the file (F5)

If you have any problems you should also check:

- Generation variant called IBD_MSDS (TD: CG2B) created for the upload of MSDS.

- SPRO activity "Define documento type" en entry is created for IBD

- Review the statuses assigned to document type IBD

Hope this help,

King regards,

Alberto

PS: Sorry I described how to upload it through CG36VEN, does the help? I havent worked with CG36

Hi Alberto,

Can I have the standard scenario or process in uploading the vendor MSDS, like who (which department) has to create specification, who has to upload msds, then who has to relaese msds and in continuation to that who will create and release SOP.

Hi Ram,

Let me try to reproduce a what I understand for this process (but I am not very familiar with IHS):

- Acquisitions recieve the MSDS from raw materials of suppliers and distribute them to Central EHS department

- If the raw material spec is not create the Central EHS department should create it and upload the MSDS information in the property tree (this way SOP's can be created automatically or manually)

- The MSDS is linked to the raw material specification in SAP EHS by acquisitions or EHS (this can vary)

- EHS dept of the plants are notified of the SOP's created and distributed in the plant

Hope this helps,

Best regards,

Alberto
