Hi All,
I would like to know if process chains are required to update standard reports data or the data can be refreshed from the report to see the updated records.
Thanks in advance.
Kind Regards
Niren
Hi,
If your job is to just use the reports and not to worry abt where data comes etc, then yes, its enough if you refresh the report and the report will get the latest updated data from the base Infoprovider which is the physical storage of data.
Process Chains are something that will pul data from the source system and load it into the base Infoprovider, fro where the report picks up the data. so if the infoprovider has the latest data, report will obviously pick up the latst data.
If the infoprovider needs to be updated with latest data from the source system, then you run the process chain.
Thanks

Chain process are not required for load data you can load data manually direct from infopackage....chain process works not only for standard objects you can use chain process for custom objects too....
