Hi Basis Gurus

When I click on any field and try to get help by pressing F1, I could only see the Performance Assistance window. I do not see any text. Pl. suggest.

The purpose of this share is to help highlight potential changes in SAP that may affect F1 or the help for (Web Assistant) for year 2021. In particular the Help for Web Assistant or Enable Now (it may not be related to the context of some of the sharing above however if other members or community users needed assistance to explain some F1 issue this knowledge may help out for some workaround).

Potential answer tied to F1 issue:

SAP # 3078900 - For Web Assistance type of issue or Fiori F1 Key - HELP does not work (Enable Now - Web Assistant) and does not get value or Addon issue (https://launchpad.support.sap.com/#/notes/3078900 ) <-- login required to see details (Updated July 14, 2021) (2 potential causes presented).

currently, it might be set to In Performance Assistant already, change it to in Modal Dialog Box and save. Then revert back to Performance Assistant. That did the trick for me (perhaps it resaved the previously corrupted settings properly)

Appreciate your good intention to help the SCN member but at the same time, please try to respond to latest discussions and not the one which is 12 years old like this

I have been having the same error for a few weeks now - and I realised this was when my laptop was upgraded and yes it came back with IE7

I have changed my settings to modal dialog box instead of performance assistant and my F1 help now works.

I wonder what it is about IE7 that prevents the performance assistant window from displaying properly ?

IE version could be probable reason. Try IE version 5, and also try to get help from BASIS.

I had the same problem and was advised that F1 help does have problems if you are working on internet explorer 7.

Select In modal dialog box instead of performance assistant.

This should solve your problem.

Hi Anil Manke,

I am just assuming ur problem like when u click F1 u r geeting that window as performance assistance just click right mouse on that n check the options. I think u will get solution there. If problem is getting bcoz of that bcoz I also faced the same prob.

Hello,

Try to uninstall the current GUI and reload it. It may solve your problem.
