Hello, I did read the METHOD DETECTION LEVEL (MDL) IN COA board. It was close but not quite. Is there an option in the MASTER INSPECTION CHARACTERISTIC (QS21) that will evaluate the result against a lower specification limit. Pass will print the result. Fail will print the text < MDL 0.01?

The COA can print the <= 0.01 if you want. But it won't print MDL.

Typically though, MDL limits are much lower then a spec however.

Typically, you would set this up like any other MIC with an upper or lower limits.

You would then create a custom FM for the "result orign" that would look at the values recorded and the spec limits and determine what to print for the result. You put in logic to print the actual result or, when your rules are met, <MDL 0.01. There are some blank user fields for MIC's that you can enter the tests MDL and then print that text for the result when your criteria are met.
