Hi

To get the Master data from OLTP system

1) CIF settings need to be done in R3

2) CIF settings need to be done in APO

3) Material master - MRP type need to be changed to X0 in R3

4) Generate Integration model for master data like Maerial master, work center , routing and etc - Tcode CFM1

5) Activate the integration model - Tcode CFM2

6) Once activated the data gets transferred to APO

Pls let me know if you need any more details

Satish,

1) DP works primarily on master data which is called Characteristics Value Combinations (CVCs). These are generated from the data loaded in Infocubes.

2) SNP and PPDS works primarily on follwoing master data - Material Master, Resources, PDS/PPMs, Transaportation lane and these are usually created by CIFing over master data from ECC.

Hence, 2 different types of master data exists which are generated from different sources based on modules of APO/SCM that you implement.

Now, DP may use master data such as Material Master, example - you want that the planner in DP to plan quantities in Base UOM defined in Material Master, for this DP planning book displays quantities in Base UOM after converting the quantities from Planning UOM defined for DP planning area. Ofcourse, relation between UOMs has to be maintained in Material master.

It depend on your System connection to the APO.

If APO is connected to SAP R/3 then it is advisable to use CIF.

Some cusotmer/Client use SAP R/3 --> BW --> APO.

For Non SAP ERP system use BAPIs

thankyou for response

but here i also discussed with my friends, for DP the data come from infocube and for APO we have to CIF the data this is one point and

second thing for total apo means including dp.snp, and tpvs

we have to CIF the data.

I think for DP through infocubemposplanning area--planning book the series come right, and every month the sales data any how will get from SIS infocube

for SNP some product master data and customer data we have to CIF
