My question is how can you create a delivery without reference to a sales order. (I don't know whether i understood your correct correct on this issue). You don't want to create a sales order at all.

This are the basic settings for BOM to explode in sales order

- The structure scope of the item category is set to 'A' or 'B'.

- In the BOM, the item was indicated as relevant for SD (item detail -> Status / long text).

You create a delivery with reference to a sales order. When you create a delivery BOM is exploded in delivery because of copying control.

Could you be more clear on your requirement?

Hi,

Maintain the Item category determination at deliver level and check the BOM Explosion, in case of sales order system copies the item category from the sales order to delivery but as your requirement is to create delivery without sales order in these situations maintian the Item category determination for BOM material at Logistics Execution-Shipping-Item category determination.

If it works provids the rewards

hi sudha,

the item cat determination takes place at sales order and has to be copied to delivery if you want to see the BOM components. Unless you directly enter an item at delivery instead of order you cannot trigger the delivery item cat determination. Pl check t.code 0184 for delivery item cat det.
