Hi Experts,
I have created a development package called ZBWCRM in BI Dev. I am assigning infoobjects to this package and transporting them to BI QA.
First Question:
Do I need to transport this development package to BI QA before I transport any infoobjects?
Second Question:
In BI QA, in the infoobject maintenance, when I click on Object Directory for an Infoobject, I get a message saying:
"
Package ZBWCRM does not exist
Message no. TR414
"
Please help me?
Thanks and BR,
Raj Jain

Yes.

Was the package deleted from the system ?
Check for the package in SE80 - Search for packages in the dropdown.

Hi Rajesh Jain,
Go to Tcode: SE80. Select your package where you can see all the objects included in that package on left bottom side. Rightclick on the package and select " write transport entry ". Then you are going to assign this package to a transport request. Release this transport request from SE09 and import this package into QA using Tcode: STMS. Now, your package will be in QA.
I hope your issue will be solved.
Please let me know for any further concerns.

Dear Beekay,
So during BI content installations, we will install the objects inside the package $TMP.
Later we will be creating development package in DEV. while transporting them to QA, we collect the objects from "Transport connection" and assign it to our development package.
Now my transport sequence will be as given below,
1. Transporting the development package from DEV to QA later to PROD.
2. Transporting the BI content objects from DEV to QA later to PROD.
Basically my question is,
is it always mandatory that we need to transport the development package from DEV to QA?
Thanks.

Hi,
1. yes,It would be best to ensure that the dev package is transported to the next system before any objects assigned to it.
