    Hi Andrés,

    With the standard functionality of Lumira Designer 2.1, there are the following two options to control visibility of different parts of a dashboard based on user:

    1) Obtain the logged in user ID via the APPLICATION.getInfo().user script API and then show/hide/create components via scripting based on the specific user ID. This option is not recommended because you would need to explicitly hard-code visibility logic against each user ID;

    2) Maintain security mappings to user IDs/groups in back-end tables/cubes and create queries over this table/cube which is then accessed via a data source in Lumira Designer and filtered to retrieve the row for the specific user determined by APPLICATION.getInfo().user. The attributes on this row can then be used to determine the visibility of components on the dashboard. This is the recommended approach because it allows security to be configured/maintained in the backend.

    Alternatively, you can consider the partner extension APOS Data Gateway Identity Controller which will allow you to control visibility of parts of a dashboard based on BI Platform User Groups.

    • I know you recommend the second one but I have only restrict the access of some users.

      I have made this script in the OnStart function:

      if (APPLICATION.getInfo().user == "Administrator"){
      //show a button
      } else {
      //Do not show it

      It works fine and just to our necessities.

      Thank you for your help again (sorry for my english)

    Hi Andres - Lumira Designer is a BI client tool, and as such, relies on the backend system - e.g. BW users, or BI platform
