Below are the steps performed in sequence.
Scenario 1
1) Budget assigned to WBS element and Availability control activated
2) Cost posted on Network (e.g. 1000 USD)
3) Cost settled from Network to WBS element. (1000 USD). After settlement net cost on WBS and network activity is 1000 USD.
Total assigned amount on WBS element = 1000 USD which is correct.
However, please see below scenario 2 for steps performed in the sequence.
Scenario 2
1) Cost posted on Network (e.g. 1000 USD)
2) Cost settled from Network to WBS element. (1000 USD). After settlement net cost on WBS and network activity is 1000 USD.
3) Budget assigned to WBS element and Availability control activated
Total assigned amount on WBS element = 2000 USD which is in-correct.
In scenario 2 above, budget was assigned on WBS element after cost posting and network settlement. Due to this, it is adding the cost of WBS and network even after settlement thus assigned amount is doubled.
I did execute CJEN and CJBN to correct this but it has not resolved the issue.
In our configuration, AVAC is activated with budget assignment.
Can you please let me know in case of scenario 2 above, are there any steps to be performed if we activate the AVAC later after cost posting.
