Can anyone pls tell how to change the start date of a position number

Hope its not possible to change the start date of a positions. Suggest delimit the existing object and create a new with ur respective date.

I have done the same but on that time new position number is coming.But my clients requirement is they want the old position number

Look at the menu or options in the screen, Hope there is one to change the validity dates.

Hi Lsp,

Go to tcode PP01. select object type as position, enter position id for which you want to change start date. Now select object infotype and click on "overview" icon. In the next screen "list display with change object", select the record and click on "copy" icon. In the " copy object" screen, change start date and save it.
