Layout Profile assinged to folder does not always display

We created a new layout set and assigned it to a layout profile. We then assinged the layout profile, for all users, to several different folders in KM. After all the assignments are made, we noticed that the layout does not always change to the new layout profile for a given user when they navigation to the said folders. The same user might see the new layout during one session, but when the log out and log back in, they no longer see it.

We have 4 server processes running on our Portal instance. Could it be that the folder layout changes are not being rpopagated to all the server processes?

Hi,

This could be the reason, so delete the KM Config completly using the ConfigUninstaller component.

Ofcourse do a backup of this config, so that nothing is lost.

http://host/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/com.sap.portal.runtime.config.component.ConfigUninstaller

After that deploy the new config once again. When every thing is done, restart your server.

Hi,

You can export the configuration by clicking Export Configuration button:

http://host:port/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/com.sap.portal.runtime.config.component.ConfigImport...

If you want to just export individual configuration, then use this:

As praveen said, it is certainly the issue with load balancing among the server processes. Do post here if you still have problems after following what praveen said...
