Credit Limit -CONSORTIUM

Hello All,

My client is on ECC 6.0 and will be implementing credit management.

The scenario is as follows :

Check the possibility of defining “EXCEPTION RULE” customers with respect to each company code even after they have crossed the credit limit. The authorization for maintaining such exceptions should be provided only to a few people in business. Change log to be defined for maintenance of this exception rule.
For example : Customer A is dealing with different business units. It has a credit limit of say 10 Million SAR and customer has already crossed the credit limit by 2.5 million SAR. In this situation, business wants to deliver goods worth 1 Million SAR from Co. Code X and 500,000 SAR from Co. code B. Beyond this exception limit, delivery creation should be disallowed.
The customer is using a centralised credit management system.

How to map the same without using H.O/Branch ?.

    For information, Credit Management will work based on Credit Control Area and not on Company Code. Moreover, you also have to explain what are the efforts you put to achieve this as this topic has already been discussed many times.

    Since there is only 1 credit control area assigned to one company code i.e. this is a centralized credit management system which I have mentioned.

    I haven't done this exactly, but my guess is that you need to request the assistance of a developer.

    In a past project I have encountered custom over-limit tolerance (percentage-based) per credit control area, risk category and credit group (crossing the limit, but not the additional amount from the tolerance did not result in blocking the document, but triggered different messages to raise the awareness of that).

    We did it via one of the available exits for credit management and activated this check instead of the standard credit limit one in OVA8. Probably this is what you can start exploring.

    On the other hand - if for the same customer you have different treatment from credit perspective for the same order type this normally means that it may make sense to have separate credit control areas. Centralization is not only from organizational perspective, it also implies having the same rules per credit account.
