Hi Raj,

Welcome to SDN! I'm affraid that is the only comforting information I have for you...

1) I recommend that you change your displayed name to 'Raj' or 'Raj Gmail' or similar. SAP might not want their 'SAP Security' contact details mistaken for yours, and vis-versa.

2) I removed your "promise". It does not work and history here has shown that the exact opposite is true. Additionally it attracts "spammers" who will post long unresearched lists of links as answers which are often irrelevant. Therefore, I delete it.

3) Use the search for "SU24" as term, or better even.... start transaction SU24 and click on the "Documentation" button. Your question demonstrates that you have not even attempted to help yourself to find the answer, which is an important factor in usefull answers being posted.

4) I am going on vacation soon. Can you keep an eye on this forum for me for a while and show any others the rules if they don't stick to them? That would be a big help to me until I am back!

Cheers,

Julius

Hi Julius,

Thanx for your reply. I have changed my display name.

I have tried and I could not help myself regarding this. I could find no option to add an auth object in SU24. Thats the reason i have asked the forum. I know this may be silly question for most of the experts here. I am very new to SAP. Hope you consider my question is valid.

Thanks,

Raj

In Su24 when you go to the change mode by clicking on the change icon , you will see new set of buttons to add and delete authoirzation object.

You can add or delete a authorization object using these buttons.

Thanks Raj!

Sorry for being blunt, but I assumed that the answer to your question had been answered here before and your displayed name at the time did not look like one to be taken seriously... (just joking!!!).

Just today I learnt a new transaction which can be used in change mode which I did not know before, so we are all learning and sometimes the navigation in the transaction is not "intuitive"...

Another little tip in addition to looking for the icon which looks like a pencil (or a pencil wearing spectacles for display <-> change toggle switches) which might even be hidden if you are not authorized, is to open the top left dropdown menu and look at the options of what that transaction screen has the capability of doing (e.g. insert, change, copy, delete...) if you are in the correct screen with the correct authorizations (usually, but not only, field "Activity" of an authorization object).

Cheers,

Julius
