Manually created Demand not showing in SNP Planning Book

Hi,

While working on SCM, I am geting a problem with manually created demand.

While I create a demand in product view( /n/sapapo/rrp3) it gets saved, but this demand I cannot see it in Planning Book

(9ASNP94 SAP standard book).

Neither does this demand is geting used in Optimiser run.

I have created demand for Product: P-402 at Loc: 2500.

But if receipt is created at Product View, the same is visible at

SNP Planning book.

Regards,

Sandeep

check what the order category is in rrp3

then go to img and check for the category group and check what cat group the order category is in

then go to plannig area or 9asnp02 and ensure the KF for demand has the category group u picked up in img attahed to it (in the details view of KF)

have you opened up the planning book by clicking on the expand icon ? sometimes the independant demand is not added on to the total demand

if you still have an issue.. try to release a demand from snp and see how it behaves

The Order category in RRP3 is FA (FC Req.). The order category is maintained in Category group DF1. The plannig area 9asnp02 has the KF for demand with the same category group DF1.

I've checked the planning book but doesnt get to see the demand.

Can you elaborate more on "release a demand from snp"?

Hi guys,

Thanks for your help. i was able to find the root cause of the problem. The problem is that a BADI is active in the system which is changing all prod/locs to be read as though they are MTO products. That means only Sales Orders are considered as Demand and not forecast.

After deactivating the BADI, the issue was resolved.

I think I am also experiencing a similar kind of issue. How do we deactivate BADI ? btw what are MTO objects ? TIA

Check if the BADI method /SAPAPO/SDP_INTERACT -> GET_KEYF_SPECIALS is Active.

In case that is Active, you can use t-code SE18 to deactivate this method. This BADI makes "all prod/locs to be read as though they are MTO products".

I couldn't get your second question (MTO objects).

Rather naive question. Hope you are entering a negative sign ahead of the quantity while creating a forecast order. The standard system behaviour is to create a FA type order in product view and should be visible in the SNP planning book.

In product view it should show as FC req.without an order number though.

The demand is created in product view with a negative sign and the system assigns order category FA (FC Req.).

As you said, the demand should be visible in SNP planning book but strangely it is not getting reflected. And this is the problem.

It looks to be some config issue. I would recommend you check if you can make the forecast row in SNP planning book editable by going into design of the data view. Next try to enter in some value, save and double click on the cell to check what forecast category shows up there.

Since i am using 9ASNP94 SAP standard book, editing demand is not possible.

Anyways, i tried this with a planning book which i created. The forecast category is FA.

PLease go to table /SAPAPO/APOCGC and make sure category FA is mapping to category group DF1

make sure in Location Product SNP2 tab, you have defined forecast horizon to be something beyond which you are creating the forecasts. Make sure you have a correct requirement strategy (10 or 20 or blank) showing up in Forecast tab of RRP3

Hi,

The category FA is mapping to category group DF1.

The forecast horizon is 0 calendar days in Product Master / SNP2 tab.

There is no requirement strategy maintained in Product Master / Demand tab.
