costing run with more costing variant

Hi,

I have 4 costing variant A,B,C,D with 4 valuation variant for 1 one company code.

If I run CK40n for valuation varian A end I release the price, when I want to mark price of another material costified with valuation variant B, the system doesn't allow this operation because for the company code exists one mark with costing varian A.

Is there any way to solve this problem?

Hi Deva,

my customer wants to use various costing variant because

when He runs trx ck40n in background and in parallel processing, the job is cancelled with the following message:

CK 381 - COSTING CANCELED DUE TO LOCKED COST ESTIMATE IN COMPANY CODE

With more one costing variant, he doesn't have this problem.

Please, can you help me?

hi

you can run cost estimate for different costing variants in a comp code

but you must release cost estimate for marked variant only

once if u mark and release with one cost variant for comp code u wont mark and rel with other cost var for same comp code

yes ,

you can mark and release one costing variant /company code for specific period

you can change price of material (re valuate) after release in MR21

you may create more than one cost estimate with costing variants and you can mark & release with only one costing variant/company code for that period, system doesn't allow more than one costing variant for that period

the costing variant marked (in CK24)is shouldbe used in cost estimate for the material(CK11n)

in your case you can use only costing variant A for that company code for defined period
