We recently have implemented Groupware Integration (server-based) on our CRM system. The synchronization of activities/appointments between the Outlook Calendar and CRM is working fine. However, there seems to be a limitation in the fact that email addresses are key for partner determination when appointments are sent back to CRM. This means that all BPs need to have a valid mail address.
Is there any way around this, or is there an alternative solution?
Basically, we require the following:
- Synchronization of activities with Outlook Calendar. We do not want to send an invitation to the Customer.
- Creation of appointments in Outlook based on the BPs in the Public Contact folder.
- Automatic Partner Determination in CRM when appointments are sent to the CRM server.
Ideal would be to extend the iCal and vCard objects by sending the BP number to avoid Partner Determination based on email address. But I have the impression that Outlook contacts are identified by their mail address (instead of name, number, etc).
Any advise on this please? Any alternatives for Calendar Integration?
