why doesn't the status of serial number change in inbound?
Hello,
Can you check your serialization profile in OIS2 configuration transaction. Have you configured SDRE to be included ?
You can find the serialization profiles on this SAP help link,SAP Help Serialization Procedures for Deliveries.
Please check if the problem is solved by maintaining additional serialization procedures.

serial number status is linked to the movement of the material and if still need to change the status go to IQ02
also check the settings in BS22

when we use a serial number in outbound from Sales order, the status of serial number is changed into EDEL.
But when using serial number in inbound delivery from PO the status of serial number stayed in AVAL and not chenge.
we need the status of serial number have been changed when using serial number in inbound delivery from PO.
