Hello Expert,

I have found several post and solution for the functionality where external email will be send to vendor after GRN.

Experts have suggested to use output type WE01 for external email and MLGR for internal communication in SAP..

I am having basic questions on this.

I have checked the output type WE01& WE03 with Print output and output triggers successfully in SAP material document. Screen shot of the configuration and condition record is attached.

But as the requirement is to send the document external mail hence I am changing the configuration of WE01 as below

• Dispatch time # Send Immediately
• Transmission Medium # External Send(5)
• Partner Function # VN
• Communication strategy # CS01

In the Output Type (WE01) configuration ,Partner Function node I have added Medium as 'External Send',Function # VN ,

I have maintained condition record for External Send in MN21 for Partner Function VN and for External Send.

But output type is not triggering in the material document. When I am performing the configuration and condition record back to 'Print Output' then output type is successfully triggered in material document. I don't know what mistake I am performing.

I have attached relevant screen shot here .Please advice what output type should be choose and what basic parameters should be maintained so that mail should be triggered to the vendor.If any BADI or exit is required please mention the same.Thanks in advance

Does anyone configure WE01 with medium 'External Send'? In my case print output is triggering in material document but in case of external send output type is not triggering in material document..
