Document Header Field to be Mandatory during Document Entry

Former Member

Dear All,

I would like to store information in the Document Header Field using BKPF-XREF1_HD - Ref.key (header) 1. Thus I would like to make this field mandatory during document posting.

However, in OBA7, the system only allows 2 fields in Document Header - Reference Number & Doc Header Text - to be made mandatory during posting.

My testings does not allow me to post to this field in the doc header during document entry. Thus I have allowed changes to be made to this field BKPF-XREF1_HD - Ref.key (header) 1 by adding this field in IMG under menu path ---> Document Change Rules, Document Header. Thus even though i may not be able to post to this field during document entry, I am able to make changes to thie field after saving the document.

I would like to seek advice as to how I can post to this field during document entry, instead of making changes to the field after saving the document.

Thanks in Advance!

Appreicate all for your time and efforts!

Hi,

Go to OBA7 and for the required document type make a tick in the Document header text.

Go to OB32, double click on BKPF-BKTXT, and make sure there is no tick for field can be changed.

Then when you post the document in FB50 it does not allow to save/post until you enter the something in the header text. And then if you want to make any changes after posting the document, the system wont allow to change the header text.

Let me know if it works.

Dear Jyostna,

To make mandatory the field Document Header Text Field and not allowing changes to be made to the field does not make the field BKPF-XREF1_HD - Ref.key (header) 1 mandatory during posting.

Despite having made the changes you suggested, the field BKPF-XREF1_HD - Ref.key (header) 1 does not exist in the Document Header Screen.

Is there any way we can allow it to appear in the Document Header Screen just like the way the Reference field and the Doc Header Text fields appear during posting?

Thank you for your time and efforts, Jyostna!

Regards.

Dearest Sankar,

Yup, noted that the Document Header Txt Field is in the Detail Tab Page.

But I am looking for the field BKPF-XREF1_HD - Ref.key (header) during document posting but to no avail.

Please advise.

Thanks Sankar!

Hi,

The link you are pointing to only controls the existing tabs present in Standard SAP.

I hope you are talking about a customised field.

Is that so?

Dear Raghu,

The field BKPF-XREF1_HD exists in the Document Header. After posting an accounting document,

if we view the document header of the document posted, we will see this field which exists in the Document Header.

I do no know if this field is a new one, but we are using ECC6.

Currently, the field only can be displayed after posting. It is no where to be seen during document entry.

Please advise.

Thank you, Raghu for your earlier response!

Were you able to make BKPF-XREF1_HD and BKPF-XREF2_HD available at the time of document entry (FB60)? I have the same requirement.

Please let me know if you were able to figure this out.

Dear SAP Gurus,

For Park Documents saved via FV70, I'm able to display and delete them in FV70.

However for Park Documents saved via F-64, I'm not able to display and thus not able to delete them in FV70.

I attempted to delete Park Documents in FBV2 (Change Park Documents), however the "Delete" function under

Document >> Delete is grey-off.

Due to segregation of duties, Accounts Executives are authorised to save/delete Park Documents via FV70 and F-64.

At the same time, they are not authorised to post/delete Park Documents via FBV0.

But as this particular Park Document is saved via F-64, it can't be viewed in FV70.

I appreciate if you can advise if there's anyway we are able to:

1) activate the "Delete" funciton in FBV2/FBV3 so that they can Accounts Executives can delete from here;

2) delete the Park document in any other t-codes (if any)

3) view the Park Document in FV70 and thus delete from FV70

With lots of appreciation for advise!

Thanks!
