When a cross app navigation happens from the Fiori Launchpad, the source app is removed and the target app is loaded.
Now I know there are ways of restoring the app's previous state using url params and also as mentioned in John's blog here: https://blogs.sap.com/2017/06/19/restoring-fiori-application-state/
The source app in my scenario is a little complex, where there can be sorters, search and filter params, resize of columns on multiple tables, hide / show of information / sections on object pages etc. to name a few.
Isn't there a way where the source app is not destroyed (without trying to load the target app as a new route and doing an in-app navigation) and the navigation to the target app can also happen?
Or preserving every detail and restoring when the user comes back to the source app is the only (correct) way?
