HI Murali,
Its not a good practice to keep open more than one activities for a one DC.
Question is why you want to use 1 st activity?
If none of your activity is checked in then you can use any activity as your wish.
DC fall under the software component created in NWDI track.
you can check your DCs under DTR(design time repository).
You can delete any DC from the system tools available in DTR..provided you must have system administrator rights

hi Murali,
1.First of all, when r u trying to change anything for a file1(or component1) asked for check out this file. For that you have to create one activity Ex. activity1.All changes for this file stored in this activity1.
Now if you want to change anything in other file2(or component2) for same DC then again it asked for check out this file. For that you have to create one activity Ex. activity2.All changes for this file stored in this activity2.
Now suppose again you want to change something in you file1(or component1)then it not asked for check out,all the changes for this file automaticaly stored in activity1.
2.If you want to delete any DC from Track then you have to Syetem administration role.you need to login into server where NWDI is installed.
thanks,
Dibyendu.
