Urgent help..pls

Hi Experts,

I had to DO BDC FOR TRANSACTION CODE MI08.

ITS FOR PHYSICAL INVENTORY.

FIRST WE NEED TO CREAE IT IN MI01.

THEN WE NEED TO PROCESS IN MI08.

IN MIO8 THE FIIRST SCREEN HAS THE PHYSICAL DOCUMENT NO,THEN YEAR.

THEN IN THE NEXT SCREEN IT WILL ASK FOR MATERIAL DESCRIPTION FOR THE ARTICLE AND THE QUANTITY .WHEN WE ENTER QUANTITY THERE WILL BE POP WINDOW COMING UP ASKG FOR SERIALNO ENTRY.

THE PROBLEM LIES IN THIS PART IN BDC....WHEN I M DOING RECORDING EVERYTG COMES

EXCEPT THE POP UP WINDOW SHOWING THE SERIAL NO ENTRY.

EVRYTHG WORKS FOR THE ARTICLES THAT DOENT HAVE POP UP SERIAL NUMBER.

I M ABLE TO DO RECORDING FOR THE ARTICLES THAT DOENT HAVE SERIAL NUMBERS...

THIS I NEED TO COMPLETE WITHIN IN MONDAY.

i WOULD APPRECIATE IF SOME ONE CUD HELP ME IN THIS ISSUE

JAYA LATHEESH

If the recording doesn't work for articles with serial number, then you will have to extend the recording with your own specific BDC data.

So use the coding from the recording. If the article has serial numbers (check this in your report), then call the additional coding in your report.

You know the structure of the BDC coding from the recording. Use this coding framework to add the data for filling the data on the pop-up screen.

Process MI08 manually, and on the pop-up screen determine the program name, screen number, and screen field. Use this data for extending the BDC recording.

P.S. Is it really necessary to use BDC? Haven't you tried to find function modules / BAPI's which do the same?
