Backup for J2EE-Engine_ORA SAP Web Application Server

Hi Experts

I have installed SAP Net Weaver 04 support release 1 > oracle JAVA System > SAP ECC 5.0 SR1 Java Web Application Component ISA. I am performing installation on Windows 2003 server.

Now I want to take Backup for J2EE-Engine_ORA SAP Web Application Server. So please give me producer for how to do that. I have a HP Server with a differential SCSI card connected to HP Ultrium 448 External Tape Drive.

Hello Rahul,

take back up of usr/sap/<sid> and it will contain your j2ee sid.

You can take from o.s. level by manually --> copy the /usr/sap/<SID> from source and paste to destination.

or by automatically through start --> accesories --> system tools- --> backup.

it will prompt for source and destination.

in destination you can specify path for tape.

But I want to take backup from sap tools are there way to take backup j2ee server with sap backup tool.

You can take a backup of the J2EE Ora DB via brtools... for the rest you'll need to use regular backup tools
