SAP PPM Default Workflow Issue

Dear Experts,

I have activate the default PPM Workflow for Item Status Change but however the email is not getting triggered. Do I need to prepare a template ?

      I have checked that already. but however it is not working :(

    Dear AP,

    I thinks that's because SMTP connection is not maintained in you system. Workflow can not triger task to send email anyway. Try to get your basis team to maintain SMTP connection with transaction SCOT.

      Dear Jimmy,

      Yes, these are maintained. Just to tell you I am adding the workflow for Item status change so I have below.

      Also the users are added in Item authorization in the portal.

    Hi,

    Please check whether the users assigned in PPM item have their address data maintained in HR master (email, address and so on...)

      Hi Saurabh,

      I do not have HR implemented so I created the resource manually in PPM and in SU01 the communication type is chosen as email.

    Hi,

    It the workflow not triggering for only this review-user set of combination or it is not triggering for any combination of decision point and user in item combination at all.

    If yes, then I feel SCOT, SMTP settings needs to be checked. If not, I am not sure... Maybe we have to wait for other experts to come and comment.

      Thanks Saurabh,

      I have just configured for Item Status change nothing else. I tried with Read, Write, Admin Authorization. I checked with Basis guy, we can able to trigger the email from SAP using a 3rd party service.

      Lets wait for other comments.
