Reg : change short description of a data element

hi,

I have a requirement to change short description of a

table : KNVV field: KVGR5.

I need to change from "Customer GROUP 5" to "Consolidation"

how can I do this??

Hi,

You need to get the access key in order to change the Short text of any standard data element ...

Without access key u can't do it my friend.

DO NOT GET AN ACCESS KEY! this counts as a modification to standard which is not encouraged.

You can change the texts for the underlying data element as follows:

CMOD -> Goto -> Text enhancements -> Keywords -> Change -> <Enter the name of the data element you wish to change texts for KVGR5>

Change and save the texts.

I know this answer.

but here iam bothered about weather we need to create any project from cmod..for this modification.

when I observed this...even without craeting project also..the changes are reflected.

can oyu plz tell weather it is mandatory to create PROJECT from CMOD.
