Dear experts,
I'm about to realize a reporting application in which I want to realize several levels of detail by switching back and forth between two (or more) ALV-Grids, that I want to place in the same custom control of one
dynpro. Double-Clicking a header entry then is supposed to lead to another Grid which shows the details
for that header. I'm not using the FMs but CL_GUI_ALV_GRID directly. It's not that I don't know how to
do that, but I'm not sure if destroying (freeing) the actual grid, initializing the new one, and doing basicly
the same when I just want to return to the unchanged first ALV-Grid is the best or the only way to do it.
Is it possible to keep ALV-Grids "alive" while they are not displayed respectively linked to the container?
Thanks in advance for your input
best regards
Andreas

Thanks, Jose,
full points for your suggestion with the different screens !
My application is switching back and forth as rapidly as I wanted it to be
( between 4 different screens meanwhile, not only two).
Thanks a lot !
