Internal Batch Number for specific Production Order Type

HI PP Guru

We need to activate Internal Batch Numbers to a specific Production Order type.

We need this at order confirmation level. i.e. (CO11/CO12)

Is it possible? HOW ?

Please let me know customizing Steps.

If this is not possible then, Batch number should be internally assgisned at Order release stage. Please let me know customizaing steps for this even.

Hello,

I guess Internal Batch number assignement for Order Type is not possible.

You can maintain the internal number active in the T. Code : OMCZ.

If you want to have, Batch number should be internally assgisned at Order release stage:

Then in T. Code: OPKP

Autom. batch creation in the order : Select "2" (Autom. batch creation at order release)

However, if we do not wish to activate Internal Batch Assigment and want to remain on manual BUT still we want system should not allow duplicate BATCH NUMBER, then, is there any way to achive this.

This is because, once we manually enter batch in confirmation (CO11), we further break the material in to several part and we need to understand original batch number. For this we just take the original batch number and add further serial number like below

Orinigal Confirmation Batch Number - 100001

Batch Split of 10 - 10000101,10000102,..............10000110.

So, what we want is system should check that same batch number is exist or not in confirmation. Is it possible or how it can be handle.

Hi,

In OMCT: You need to maintain the Batch Level, whether it is unique at Client level, plant level or Material level.

After that pl. maintain in OMCZ: Auto . Batch number inactive.

Now you can use this Batch without duplication..

But the Original Batch Concept is there in IS-Mill Products..

Hi,

Automatic batch creation is possible either during order creation or order release.It is not possible during order confirmation.

If you want to have this for a particular order type , then

1. Give that order type in OPKP- Prod sched profile (which is defined for the matl in Work Sched view) .

2. In OPKP - Batch Management tab , set the Automatic batch creation Indicator to 1 -during order creation or 2 - during order release.
