I need a doucment on the following

Procure to stock from MRP (scheduling agreement):

Need to write on how a scheduling agreement will work for purchasing department.

can you please share the same if any

Hi,

1. Scheduling lines are like purchase requirement.

2. Suppose company is getting material from a vendor by regular interval.

3. So company will make agreement to that vendor, which he has to supply material every middle of the month for a year. ie, 15.01.2008, 15.02.2008, 15.03.2008.,,

4. So instead of creating P.R for every month, scheduling agreement will create for a year.

5. When MRP run schedule lines will create for 15.01.2008, 15.02.2008, 15.03.2008.,,against this scheduling agreement.

6. Vendor can delivered his material against this schedule lines.

7. For purchasing dept, paper work reduced instead of doing monthly doing once in a year.

8. It will be more useful for the Purchase Team to negotiate with the Vendor for the bulk qty rather than having a negotiation for individual Pur Orders.

9. Inventories can be reduced to a minimum. You can carry out your manufacturing operations on the Just-in-Time (JIT) principle.
