how to create no. range for a material type, please explain in detail.

hi,

you can create Number Range Text Group and assign to your material type in following path

IMG -> Logistic ->General -> Material Master ->Basic Settings ->Material Type ->Define Number Range for each Material Type

OR

T.code:MMNR

Lets example you have now:

Number Range Text Group:02

From Number: 1

To Number :19999999

Now assign Number Range Text Group to your material type in MMNR , {{by clicking group in menu, select maintaion->group->insert

Number Range Text Group:02

From Number:1

To Number :19999999

and save}}.

Hi,

Use T.code: MMNR or follow the path:

SPRO -> Logistic - General -> Material Master -> Basic Settings -> Material Type ->Define Number Range for each Material Type

In menu bar ...Click Group->Maintain ->Again click Group ->Insert

Now enter

Number Range Text Group MM(example)

From Number 100000000

To Number 199999999

To number and from number should not overlap with existing number ranges.You can maintain here External or Internal by selecting check box or not. And now save.

Now double click material type and select check box of Number Range Text Group ie.. MM( you created) and click Element /Group and save. Now your number Ranges assigned to your material type.

SPRO-loge.-exe -Mat.Master -Basci Settings -MAterial types-Define no.range

Here You define no.range & flag if Ext.no.

after that Press F6

Select your group & insert & Save.

hi,

in spro - img - logistics general - MM - basic settings - material types - def no ranges for each material type - click on group button in header - on menu you can see group select it and in it click insert.

here you can create new diff group and create new name .

after maintaining number ranges save it..viz versa....

goto MMNR and crearte a no range and group, assign matl type to that group.Path is IMG-LO GEN- matl master-basic settings-matl types-assign no ranges to matl type.
