Navigational Attributes in Infosets

Former Member

HI Guys,

We have a situation here. We have created an Infoset on two DSOs. In the DSOs we flagged the Navigational Attributes. But we could not able to use those navigational attributes in the reporting on InfoSet. Please come up with a solution for this.

Rogers

Hi Steve,

Navigational attributes don't really work out for InfoSets. Please see this thread for discussion on the same:

Have a look at these threads even:

Hi Steve,

Navigational attributes cannot be accessed in an infoset..You will not have that option..

In such cases you need to join the main info object to the Infoset..

eg: If you were trying to access ATTR1 which is a nav attribute in your ODS for CHAR1,

In the infoset you will need to join Info Object CHAR1 to the CHAR1 in the ODS object which makes all the attributes of CHAR1 accessible in the Infoset..

Let me explain u in detail...

Consider the scenario.

A is Main info object .

B is attribute of A.(Navigational enabled)

Now A is included in ODS O1.

And infoset I1 is created based on ODS O1 . Now include info object A as well in the infoset I1. Link should be like ODS O1-A = Info object A .

In this way it will include all the attributes of A also in the infoset and it should be able to give all in the reporting as well.

Assign points if this helps u...

KK.
