Hi All
We have deployed Java Module EAR files into PI dev system from NetWeaver Developer Studio.
We would like to transport java modules from dev to quality.
What is the process?
Is it possible with file or cts transport process?
We don't have NWDI in landscape?
Thanks
Sai
In PI 7.0 you can (and always should) use the SDM for deployment of EAR files.

> We usually deploy java modules using SDM in Development. If we should need to use the same process in production, i can say that transports for java modules are not working properly in XI. Do you agree my point?
I do not get the point. A Java module is a piece of software and not XI content.
So you do the same mechanism for your Adapter module as you do for software patches.

Hi Stefan
I am thinking that Software patches deployment comes under basis or administration activity.
Java Module development is completely related to PI development.
As we are using cts+ for IR and ID objects transports, we are expecting that cts+ will work for java modules transports also.
Thanks
Sai
I agree with Sai.
There really should be a way to transport custom java modules using CTS+.
CTS+ can be used to transport IR and ID objects...why shouldn't the custom java modules (that the ID objects make use of) be transportable by this same process...of course we can use SDM, NWDS or any other deployment tool but the real question here is...How can we use CTS+ to do the transport of these custom java modules (not deploying in all 3 environments using other tools) ?
Regards,
Patrick
Hi All
We are able to trasnport EAR files just by attaching EAR files(from server or local desktop) in CTS transport orgranizer.
From now onwards, we will be using the same process instead of deploying ear files in each environment seperately using SDM.
Thanks for all your replies.
Thanks
Sai
