Dear syed fayazuddin
Assuming that you are asking the doubt in Requirement Class, please note that in Make-To-Order scenario, the requirement class would be 040 where we need to maintain "E" which is nothing but SPECIAL STOCK.
Wherever in requirement class, if you maintain E, then it will be treated as Special Stock. Dont have idea about C and in fact, I have not seen this Account Assignment.
thanks

Hi fiazuddin
there are different types of special stocks
as far your query comes to the account assignment
E indicates the special stock which is orders on hand
C indicates the sales order
the basic difference between C and E is special stock E is reserved for some order where as C is unrestricted use stock
coming to the requirement class , it is one of the features in availability check
Reward if useful

Hi syed
For special stock E the best example is Make to Order (MTO)
In OVZ9, in that there wil be a feild called account assignment , for make to order requrement type is KE and requirement class is 040 in that combination check the account assignment feild , it will be marked as E
where as for C the best example is Make to Stock (MTS)
IN OVZ9, check the combination of ** reqirement type KSL and requirement class 041 .* ,* the account assignment feild will be blank..that means it is not a special stock
I hope now you are clear .
Reward if it is useful
Regards
Srinath
