create work order in 4.6C

Have any of you seen any FMs for creating work orders in 4.6C?

Hi Isabelle,

The BAPI BAPI_ALM_ORDER_MAINTAIN would indeed be perfect, but sadly does not exist in 4.6C. Migrating it down from 4.7 would seem to be a massive task too... a lot of connecting function modules... approx 20 function groups and approx 30 FMs per group...

Hi Isabelle,

Thanks for the note - I think that's the most prudent course of action as no other FMs exist to do the job of the BAPI, or at least the FMs that I have analysed so far.

Hi guys,

Very good suggestions there, but the FMs still do not seem to provide sufficient functionality - for example addition of multiple materials to the work order etc. What would be very useful is something like - BAPI_ALM_ORDER_MAINTAIN on 4.7.

You can use ALM_ME_ORDER_CREATE FM. It will create order and notification as well. if you want to assign existing notification then given notificaiton number in selection criteria.
