Hi,

A calander has to be defined to each and every plant to decide about the plants holidays and workdays.Unless a plant is having a calander it will not be in a position to decede about its schdule upon its operations.

Hence a factoty calander will be created and will be assigned to the plant.In Sap factory calander will be created at the transaction code SCAL.

Here holidays will be created and assigned to the holiday calander and in turn the holiday calander will be assigned to the factory calander.Factory calander will be assigned to the plant .

Based upon the holidays provided ,during the transactions system prompts .

Regards.

In the Enterprise Structure.

SPRO --> IMG --> Enterprise Structure -->Definition

-->Define Plant --> Then Edit it.

You can define these Factory Calendars from OY05 Transaction also.

Technically, there is no factory calendar in MM. There is a factory calendar in SAP which is used in MM, PP, etc for various activities like scheduling, MRP, etc.

Hope this helps,

use t.code :SCAL to define factory calendar.

from this only the dates are holiday. in MM for MRP, Delivery dates etc.
