Partial ownership

Does anyone know how we setup partial ownership in BCS?

In R3 we have 100% financial figures of all the transactions. We then pull these figures into BCS but only want 50% of the figures to be reported on.

How do we set this up in BCS?

Thank you

In BCS the typical approach is to bring in 100% of the entity and use consolidation of investments to automatically determine the values reported.

Within BCS master data, there is a place to assign the acounting technique (or method). The only available methods are EQUITY or PURCHASE.

With EQUITY only the parent company's share of the earnings is recognized in reporting. With PURCHASE method 100% of the partially owned company is included in the balance sheet and income statement with the additional recording of 50% minority interest on both balance sheet and income statement.
