Material Components disappear when TECO an activity

Hi All,

When I TECO an activity, The material components attached to it dissappear in the Project structure window, however the material components are displayed in component overview.

Upon undoing the TECO, I can see the material components again.

Please respond .. is this standard or a possible reason for this.

Further some users still can see those components even when the TECO is set...

Hi,

Some users are able to see display of materials after TECO becuase of the display setting sin project bulider which enables display of deleted objects.

You can also see the same by doing the following settings in project builder:

Settings--> Options --> select "display deleted objects".

Hi,

TECO status is used in project object that are completed from a technical point of view, but where you still expect costs to accrue. It means that you cannot do material planning, Internal labour planning, Primary costs planning and any sorts of planning, but you can receive actual costs.

In your case, you have planned some materials but you have not converted that materials to PR or PO. Now you have changed the status to TECO which will put a deletion flag and you cannot see the material planning or PR in the network activity.

When you revert back to REL then the deletion flag is removed and now you can see your materials in the system as REL will allow material planning.

Hi,

This is standard system behaviour. On changing the Project Status to TECO, materials components won't be there. TECO is the stage where ther won't any logistic work i.e. material procurement, only financial posting will happen.

Can you explain in details where the users are able to see the material components in Project builder or some where else. What is the status of the material components. weather the same has procured or project stock etc.

I am refering to the display of material components (icon) in Project builder. the material components dissappear when the activity is TECOed from the project structure window in CJ20N, however when we undo TECO, they are displayed back again in the same Window of CJ20N
