hi experts.

when i will do me21n I want document type as blank initiallyand lateron i can select it by dropdown. is it possible

please guide me.

Hi,

Try this path:

SPRO-MM- Purchasing- Define Default Values for Document Type

Now remove Document type from your ME21N transaction code and save.

Now try creating PO and change ur own document type.

Note: Even you set default document type, you can change during PO creation but whats ur requirement?

yes this is possible

GO to ME21n

Click on Personal Setting

Click On Default Values

Select Document Type As Blank and SAVE

it will work

go to SU3 and do the setting as Blank

while making P.O you can enter from the dropdown that is the standard procedure
