KB11 was used in the older releases prior to ECC5 and 6. So to avoid discomfort for users, the old t-code is retained, until the user get comfortable with the new code. May be some of the old interface programs may be calling the old t-code. So, for reasons like that the KB11 is retained.

KB11N and KB11NP are differing only in the aspect that KB11NP uses a transaction variant KB11N_PVAR that has Scrn Variant KB11N_PVAR_1200 being called upon. This defaults 08SAP as the scrn variant (the description shows, in T-code SHD0, the scrn variant is usef for CO- ABC activity based costing).

Non significant difference, you may want to notice is when you run KB11NP it would say Scrn Variant while KB11N Scr. var.
