Tell me something about legal dunning. what is the level for legal dunning. explain me

Dunning, as you would know is a reminder for payment in simple terms.

In the event of a customer not responding to any of your earlier correspondence, the company has an option to recover the outstanding by moving to court.This means, after the case is filed against the defaulting customer, all future correspondence would usually not happen thru the normal dunning program as its meaningless and would be no less than a formality.

As far as the dunning levels are concerned, you could have a max of 9 levels. That does'nt mean that level 9 is the legal dunning level. In short there is nothing called legal dunning level in SAP. The legal procedure could be initiated at level 3 or 4 too if the company decides to do so.

To add further,

Legal dunning will issue correspondence to legal dept with in your company, dont be under the impression that it will create a court notice directly.
