Do we have an option to not convert your objects into HDI container objects while migrating from HANA 1.0 SP12 to HANA 2.0 SP2.

I tried doing a simple export from HANA 1.0 to HANA 2.0 using HANA studio and I see my views in HANA 2,0 working fine but I don't see them in WEBIDE.

Can we see views which are not part of any container in WebIDE?

By importing your exported views, the views are added to the HANA Repository. HANA Repository Objects cannot be displayed/edited ... by the SAP WEB IDE for SAP HANA. SAP WEB IDE supports and will support only HDI based HANA objects.

Please consider that the HANA Repository and XS Classic Engine were already deprecated and will be removed with the next major HANA version.

As long as you go with HANA 2.0 you can use your "old" objects without migrating them. But you should prepare for the switch if you wanna go to the next HANA major version in future.

Hi Florian,

Thanks for your answer. Moving to HDI makes sense as well but I am facing few issues in moving a very simple view to HDI.

I had opened another question for this. Could you please help with that as well:
