long text in attributes and set types for products

Hi,

I want to add additional field with type char 80.

i get a warning that max size is 30.

is it possible to add field with long text to product?

hi

yeah you can add field with long text to product,in such situation we just try n mark out that whether there is already existing field with desired char length already available from standard ,if yes then we try n use that for our purpose otherwise you can go on and the long text field to product

If I cannot find such a field how can I add it through attributes? there is a message that it cannot be longer than 30. there is a sapnote

but just to extend visible field to 40 chars.

or you mean just adding the field as append to table COMM_PRODUCT or COMM_PRSHTEXT ?
