Authorization in WAD 7.0

hi ,

i want to learn if there is a way of authorization reports in WAD 7.0

and i want to learn how to make a role menu in WAD 7.0

it was possible to make a role menu in WAD 3.5 but i can not make it in WAD 7.0

when u say authorization in Wad wat is the intention

at the end of the road u r using a Query X in Web template XX

so if the user has acess to query x then he will be able to see query data when he executes webtemp xx

what i mean is

u assign the cube authorization to user

if not u assign the role authorization to user...

so if u ur user has acess to role A and if u publish ur webtemplate in A then ur user will be able to execute and see the data

it works the same way for everyone...

so u dont need to create special authorization for webtemplate

create webtemplate and publish it tospecific role

thats all u need to do.

In WAD 7.0 Role Menu is replaced by the role based display of content in the SAP Netweaver Portal.

Role menus are displayed in portal and passwords becomes case sensitive.

The role menu web item is obsolete and doesn't show 2004s templates/queries. There is a core mod possible to make this happen, but is not recommended. Instead, use one of the publishing options from the blog. It gives you all the possible options.
