Automatic Report Capturing use in SAP

Since we started upgrading to Oracle 12c, we've seen high CPU use in the MMON_SLAVE modules. These are associated with Oracle's new Automatic Report Capturing functionality. The functionality can be turned off by setting _report_capture_cycle_time = 0. But before turning it off in production, we'd like to know if SAP needs or uses Automatic Report Capturing in any way. Would anyone have any experience with this functionality in the context of Sap?

Thank you, but my question isn't about the hidden parameter as such. I just need to know if SAP requires Oracle 12g's Automatic Report Capturing functionality in any way. If not, we will probably turn it off, and Oracle has already given us their OK to do this.

Still I didn't find any SAP document mentioned this function. The same way, please raise a ticket to SAP support.

By the way I only find SAP note 105047 related, but no mentioning Automatic Report Capturing functionality.

Another comment, please ALWAYS involve SAP to confirm if Oracle lets you set any parameter or any hidden parameter. This is the essential rule for SAP on oracle.

That functionality is not "REQUIRED", it is part of the AWR and very useful in troubleshooting performance problems.

Never set an underscore parameter that is not documented in an SAP note or provided to you via incident, regardless of what the internet says (including MOS) If you have a problem that you think can be solved via underscore parameter, open an incident at SAP to get confirmation. Be ready to provide enough information.

As James mentioned, please open a ticket. I'm aware of such issue and the solution. Pushing the issue to the ORacle people will make them either document it or solve it or both.

SAP customer cannot set any any hidden parameter, only if any sap note explicitly lets us set it.

I assume setting _report_capture_cycle_time = 0 is not default setting, so please raise a call to SAP support to consult whether you can set this hidden parameter, because I didn't find any sap document talks this parameter.
