MDG-CO: Set entity key value in background

Hello,

We have a key field value in an entity of our Custom Data model, which we want to set in background, both on the UI and during File Upload. Setting the key field in background on UI level can be achieved using the Feeder Class, but the feeder class is not executed during the File Upload scenario.

Is there some way (ex. BAdI) that can be used to set key values for an entity (Storage/Use Type 4) which is executed during both UI and File Upload processing?

Thanks in advance for the input.
Kind regards,

Hi Niels,

During the file upload, if you have mentioned the keys in the load file then system will use that. Later You can changenumber range object based on the keys used in file upload.

If you want to derive from backend then you need to enhance the upload class.

Thanks and Regards,

Hi Loga,

Thank you for your reply.

The key value is a GUID generated by the system so it won't be entered in the load file.
We are looking for a component (ex. BAdI), in which we can include our key generation logic, that is called during both UI processing and File Upload.

Hi Neils,

Currently there is no such BADI. You may implement a code seperatly and call the same within feeder class and file upload.

Thanks and Regards,
